The Deacons work within and beyond the walls of Community Church as they try to be the hands and feet of Jesus, not only to members of our Church but also to the wider Richmond Hill community and beyond. Their goal is to provide a network of communication and prayer so that the members of the congregation stay in touch and receive care from the body. They send cards and flowers, make visits and phone calls and, because they are so technologically advanced, they even connect through email and text messaging. They also assist in providing meals in special cases. They assist with funds to support mission work done by our young people, provide funds to send kids to camps and assist with funding for specialized equipment for those with disabilities.
